Payment & delivery

1. 1

   30% down payment.

2. 2

   50% paid when recording the vocals (the music is then already 60% finished).

3. 3

   80% paid before mixing the production(s)/song(s).

4. 4

   100% paid on delivery of the unmastered and mastered version together with all multitrack stems, including MIDI (you own the master).

Rights & ownership

• Studio Doblo (R. Bloks) is a member of Buma/Stemra and Sena.
• The master rights of a production are only transferred after full (100%) payment. Until then, all rights remain with Studio Doblo.
• The authorship and composition rights of the composed work are administered through Buma/Stemra.

Licensing & covers

• Studio Doblo does not produce or release unauthorized or unlicensed music for third parties.
• Under current legislation, covers may not be released commercially without the publisher’s permission.

Legal basis

Under Dutch copyright law (Auteurswet), an adaptation — including a musical arrangement — counts as a reproduction that requires the rightholder’s permission:

Onder de verveelvoudiging van een werk van letterkunde, wetenschap of kunst wordt mede verstaan de vertaling, de muziekschikking, de verfilming of tooneelbewerking en in het algemeen iedere geheele of gedeeltelijke bewerking of nabootsing in gewijzigden vorm, welke niet als een nieuw, oorspronkelijk werk moet worden aangemerkt.
